Here comes another system--which costs a whopping $6500--that claims to use no indicators whatsoever, only proprietary charts, to day trade the ES. I swear these sites are multiplying faster than roaches in an old soup can. What is so special about trading on price action? It's been done ever since markets existed but lately has become so new and vogue.

I've taken the free trial a couple of times and I'm not impressed. It obviously is targeting the novice trader who has spent a lot of time and money on other trading tools and still is losing money. Who else but the desperate and/or naive would wire $6500 to someone's bank account who, like most others in this con game business, won't even disclose their name, let alone a phone number. In addition to sending your money in a non-recourse fashion, new members are required to sign an unbelievably one sided disclaimer http://www.tsunami-trade.com/disclaimer.html that doesn't even tell you where this company is located. In addition, a search under "who is" reveals an anonymous front hosting company (Tucows).

In fact, the guy who runs this shop (Blade) is so paranoid and secretive that he doesn't even let other members communicate amongst themselves away from the room. He totally forbids any sharing of emails, IM, or Skype and is lightening quick to erase any such posts. On several occasions I witnessed him bleeping out this type of info AND admonishing the person who posted.

What I found particularly interesting was the use of shills in the room to praise and tout the system to the folks who were in for free trial. This is a variation of the three card monte scam in which the people winning money right and left (in this case alleged "members" who expound the virtues of this system ad nauseum) lure the unsuspecting visitors to get on board. Blade himself is the biggest showman when he makes the right call on a trade, making it seem that the magic secret of interpreting price action through this so-called proprietary system is the answer to your dreams. And indeed, the website has all the bait with pictures of folks living their fantasy lives on some tropical island with a Ferrari in the driveway.

In the two weeks I spent in the room, I calculated a win rate of approximately 59% as defined by a trade making one point before hitting a 1.25 stop. No great shakes. Blade claims the system is "robust" in that it gives many signals during the trading session. (I witnessed 10 calls in one day.) When a trade gets stopped before profit Blade has a litany of excuses that are too long to mention in this thread; suffice it to say as any true conman, he knows how to put a spin on the negatives as if it really wasn't all that bad. For example, the market is "acting violently" and the price action, therefore, can't be properly discerned. Blame it on anything but the system. After a couple of quick stopouts in a row, he takes a break as moderator and the room sits in silence.

Although I'm not privy to his secret system, my observations tell me he uses a short term candlestick chart (10 or 15 minute) calling out buys at obvious support and sells at resistance. Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of technical analysis and chart reading could easily make the same calls. I also believe he uses a modified pivot point for his early morning calls which I did find funny. (f X price is broken, expect to go to Y and if that is broken, the Z and vice versa for the upside).

The free trial is worth the price of admission for entertainment, but not much else.

I thought we were done with this crook, but I guess he finds ripping off hopefull traders is just too easy to stay away.

He proclaims his new system is "100%" mechanical. Well sports fans, that is what he claimed about his old system. Then after he had your $6k, he changed his claim to "well, its about 90% mechanical", then to "well you have to realize what Wave you are in" etc etc.

Before anyone gives this ape any money, ask him a very very easy question: Show us proof Blade that YOU have traded it live for 30 days and made a profit. You claim you spent hours of testing and developing it, that you found it works on ANY market, ANY time frame, etc etc etc. Well SURELY that means you have actually made money with it yourself. You wouldn't try to sell a system you never traded live would you??

If he can provide proof that during any 30 day period prior to his current marketing campaign that he indeed traded it live for a real profit I will pay him $5000 and never post another negative post in this forum again.

And the big question still lingers. Who the hell are you? At least the other scam artists out there put their real name on their website. Obviously you know what you are doing is criminal so you are afraid to reveal you true identity.

Redsioux...in Blade's case...30 days is not even enough...any system can have a lucky streak of 30 days...I would want to see an entire YEAR of trading the system profitably...I have seen systems that have worked for six months and then all of sudden, they crash...

I agree youknowho, he should have at least a year of live trading before claiming it is the holy grail, or even profitable. But my point is he is trying to sell this "new" system without even 30 days of live trading.

To the old members even considering Blade's new system......burn me once shame on you, burn me twice shame on me....

My lord, this is a world class scam. This John fellow mentioned in the chat dialogue, who is now the trainer, was the same JohnG who wrote that mind boggling testimonial (still on the website) and acted as a moderator during the first incarnation of this system.

Some chutzpah this Blade character has. He's so secure in his scam that he doesn't even change the names of the players.

I want to be sure to post a current comment for anyone who attended the presentation by Tsunami in the Hotcomm Online Trade Show today. I didn't waste my time by attending, but found it very interesting what a friend told me johng had to say.

In response to the negative statements made by several attendees, Johng said that was the "old" software, not the new stuff they have been using for months. Hmmm, so he admitted the old software was a piece of crap. Too bad they won't refund the half million $ that they scammed from everyone with that junk.

Anyone considering sending the mysterious Blade any money should know the following:

1. Blade will not give his real name, address, or phone number to you even after you pay him $6k. But you will have to give all of that information to him to buy his latest snake oil

2. Ask Blade if he has ever traded this with real money, for at least 60 days, for a profit. If he says yes, run for the hills. My offer still stands, if he can prove he HAS traded if for a real profit for at least 60 consecutive days (before he proclaimed it the holy grail), I will take back all my posts and publicly endorse him.

3. Read the fine print on the agreement you sign when you send him your $5k. You cannot say or post anything negative about him or his software, whether in print, on the net, or talking to your brother-in-law. No free speech for people he scams.

4. This type of software will have great runs. But it will also have huge drawdowns that no trader would be able to survive. That is why a week trial is not sufficient to evaluate this stuff. Just ask the hundred people who got scammed last year. Remember, over 100 people paid him $6k after watching it for a week, and all but 2 or 3 left in disgust and dispair.

5. He knew his old software didn't work, so he came up with this new stuff. So surely if indeed it works, don't you think he would give it to the poor traders who bought his old worthless version? Well, when several asked, he told them to get lost, they got what they paid for.


I know that everyone is looking for the answer to their trading. Beleive me, it will never come from this crook.

I attended today's demo and to say the least, I was not impressed. Here are my observations:

1) This is no different than a number of buy the blue, sell the red dot systems where the developer doesn't give any explanatiuon as to why--you are simply instructed to take a massive leap of faith and follows the guidelines. The chart is a 233 tick on ES.

2) Although the system claims to use no indicators, anyone with an elementary exposure to technical inidcatoirs can easily see this is simply a divergence method when volume dries up and the MACD diverges you take a signal via the confluence of a HULL MA and TTM. Very basic stuff that lags the market (albeit less then other MAs) and gets you chopped to death during a tight range.

3) The system gave many contrary signals.

Bottom line: This is garbage and intended to trap the newbie with a lot of razzmattazz that doesn't give an edge under any normalized market conditions. Total bull**** and worth a penny, let alone $5K.

p.s. I was booted from the room after asking a few tough questions which confirms the tactics of scam artists who don't want to hear any dissenting opinions for fear of scaring the newbies away.

A friend of mine has pointed out something about the testimonials on the Tsunami website which I think is important and gives further credence to the slime tactics this vendor uses.

The current product that is being peddled was introduced and released, according to JohnG in the webinar I attended, early January 2008. He admitted the "old" version of the software failed miserably (no surprise to anyone who read this thread). However, ALL the testimonials predate the current product. Am I crazy or is this deceptive advertising? (Probably both.)

I just heard that there have been several more people who fell for the scam. These poor wishfull traders go to the room for a few days, see some great results, and plunk down $5k.

On one hand, I say they get what they deserve. If they cough up the money without doing any internet research, or worse yet, read what is in this forum and pay him anyway, then they are not smart enough to ever make it as traders. I know we would all like to believe there is a 100% mechanical system that will make us a $million. IF THERE WERE SUCH A SYSTEM, DO YOU THINK IT WOULD SELL FOR $5K? A system like that would be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Please all you trialers, a week is not long enough to judge a strategy. Do not give your money to this crook unless he can show you at least 12 months of trades. Do not give your money to someone who will not reveal his true identity. Read the forms CAREFULLY before signing. Once you give him your money, you won't get the software till you sign an agreement swearing you will never say anything negative about him, his webiste, or strategy.

Is blade's name John by the way? From what i ve seen, his latest scam is TsuBot, which he claims has an extremely high win rate in all markets. Watching it trade live, it's obvious that reality is much different. Interesting that he only takes into account the first profit target which is no more than eg 3 ES ticks or 5 GBP/USD pips (which is really 2 after spread which he totally ignores, but that should be expected as he has never placed a real trade himself). The corresponding stop loss is several times larger, a sure recipe for disaster. Avoid them at ALL costs no matter how tempted you feel to waste 6-7k
