Definition of 'ADD - NYSE Net Advancing Stocks'
The ADD (also $ADD) is the difference between $ADV (number of advancing stocks on the NYSE) and $DECL (number of declining stocks on the NYSE) on a given trading day. A stock is determined to be advancing if its last traded price is above its previous session's close and declining if its last traded price is below its previous session's closing price.
