Alley: What is your definition of a gap for the purposes of you comment above?
(There are multiple definitions for gap and none are wrong - they are just different strategies and analysis that use the same word. A gap can refer to the open versus the previous closing: (1) Extreme, (2) Last traded price during RTH (3) Last pit traded price (4) Settlement price etc.)

in this case the gap is defined as the high of 1320 of May 4th to the low of 1322 for the May 5th.
(and I agree gaps can take many forms but I like to kiss and either its open trade to a previous settlement or else the classic definition as shown above)
