Using Pivots in Trading
Hi all
My first post here
I add the pivots to my charts from this site. 2 charts are CL & GC. I find them pretty strong indicator of where things could go, stop, reverse or just slow down.
My question is
is there any significance to the pivot movement up or down? As an example if a pivot yesterday was at 98.20 and today it moved up to 99.10 is there anything to think about that ALL of the pivots went UP from the day before?
Thanks
david

The standard pivots key off the average of the High, Low and Close. If these values move up then pivots will move up and vice versa. If your strategies see significance in those values moving up then you can translate that to the pivots that you're using.
