Perspective on CBOT Metals Futures
Perspective on CBOT Metals Futures
Live event: December 20, 2005 @ 3:30 PM Chicago / 4:30 PM Eastern time.

Stanley Dash of TradeStation Securities will discuss concepts and challenges related to the analysis and trading of CBOT’s electronically traded metals futures. Topics include a review of the volume and open interest of these contracts. However, raw volume numbers can be misleading without examining the trading hours in these and competing markets and making session-adjusted comparisons. Such session-adjusted comparisons may also be important to price analysis. Using the TradeStation platform to make these types of session adjustments will be demonstrated; these adjustments will then be used for comparison of CBOT metals not only to other metals, but also to such markets as Treasury notes and bonds.
About the Speaker
Stanley Dash is an instructor in TradeStation Securities’ Client Training and Education Department, creating and delivering courses on subjects ranging from the basics of using the TradeStation platform to advanced EasyLanguage®. He has been involved in analysis, trading and training for more than 25 years.
